Terms of use
These terms govern your use of the StrongRoom app and this website, provided by SAVI CLOUD TECH LLC (“we”, “us”). They are supplemental terms: Apple’s standard licence, described below, also applies. By installing or using StrongRoom you agree to them.
Apple’s standard licence applies
The app is licensed to you under Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms add to it. If they conflict with it, Apple’s agreement governs the licence to the app. These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, and is not responsible for claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of Apple’s agreement and may enforce it against you.
Your content
You own what you store in your vaults. You are responsible for it and for having the right to store it. We cannot see your vault contents and do not monitor them.
Recovery is your responsibility
Vaults are encrypted with keys that only you control. If you lose your pattern or passphrase and have neither your recovery phrase nor a Recovery PIN, and no Export Package, nobody, including us, can recover your data. Keep your recovery phrase and any Export Package somewhere safe and separate from your phone. The Duress Vault feature, if you turn it on, erases other vaults on your phone when it is opened, and that cannot be undone.
Acceptable use
You agree not to: use StrongRoom to store or share content that is illegal where you live; reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app except as law allows; use it to destroy, hide or alter data that you are legally required to keep, for example under a legal hold or a court order; or use it to harm others or interfere with our services.
StrongRoom Pro and the free plan
The free plan has one vault that holds up to 10 items. StrongRoom Pro is optional: it removes the item limit and adds more than one vault and the Duress Vault. It is offered as a yearly subscription and a monthly subscription (each with a free trial for new subscribers: one introductory offer per Apple Account, as Apple determines), and a one-time lifetime purchase, all through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple. Anything already in a vault can always be opened, exported and deleted, with or without Pro. We may change prices and plans for future purchases.
Disclaimers
StrongRoom is provided “as is” and “as available”. No security product can guarantee absolute protection. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, including data you cannot recover because credentials were lost. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using StrongRoom at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state and federal courts located in Oregon, except that nothing here removes consumer rights you have under the law where you live, including the right to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence.
